    I have a Miura feature on my web site which includes an Ownership article at http://web-cars.com/miura/ownership.php. A portion of the article:

    Buying a Miura
    Price: The least amount of money you could part with in order to put a Miura in your garage would be $60,000. You could only expect to get a P400, and one that is rough around the edges at that. Upping the budget to say $75,000 to $90,000 will improve your chances of a good car and could even buy a Miura S. As stated in the EVOLUTION V page, SVs are the most desireable Miuras and the price jump is significant, in part because few were made. $175,000 is the minimum here. A good SV can go as high as $250,000. Those that are exceptional, meaning those with a interesting history or that have been recently restored by a well qualified firm can attract even more. A thorough restoration by a quality firm can cost you well over six figures.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Obviously the prices here are way out of whack - I wrote the article in 2001. So what would the proper prices be?

    Hey Paul! Long time no see...

    Fast forward to 2007......
    Here is my experience from ACTUAL sales I have personally made;
    - P400: $200k to $275k
    - P400S: $295k to $350k
    - P400SV: $675k to $800k
    In each case the latter figure has been the most recent sale. The cars have ranged from nicely maintained to fully restored.
    The top Miura sale is of course the Miura Roadster at $1.05million.
    Hope my input helps.

    Thanks Joe! I've made the updates.

    Those are some amazing prices. It's good to see these wonderful cars finally get their due, even if it does mean that they are that much more beyond my reach. Reminds of this P400 (http://web-cars.com/images/misc_img/IMG_3069_s.jpg) that I saw get auctioned off in Las Vegas for ~$70,000 in April 2002. Coulda, woulda, shoulda!!

    Happy New Year to you, Margaret and the rest of the Sackey clan. Glad to see you active in the forum and thanks again for the help with my Miura site.
