You're very welcome - I am only happy to have found it on Youtube. I search for Miura video footage off and on, and am always quite chuffed to find new material.
THANK YOU for the pics! If I'm not too badly mistaken, that is 5090? Ooooo that's a SEXY color on that car! GRRRR!!!! IMHO Cars tied for "first place" colors are 4870/4926, 5064, and 5090. Oh yeah and don't forget the Lecoq car (3234?)... Oh wait, what about ... Hmmm, this is a dilemma that doesn't have a solution, does it? R PS Call me crazy, but an uncovered U-Haul Trailer?!? None of my business really, I guess....
HAHA! Yeah, it was his first show, and they had a hard time getting it off that trailer. I'm pretty sure he'll be buying an enclosed trailer very soon.
Great to meet you too! I can recognize some serious photographic talent there man... nice pics, thanks for sharing.
Albeit non-original, super-nice combination which should have been done on the cars by the works in the period had they thought of it, only surpassed by an even nicer owner. Interesting how many SVs have gone to younger appreciative owners in recent times, and interesting too that 2 SV owners in attendance (who did not bring cars) tell me they have just turned down a million with little effort. Truly one of the most iconic sports cars of all time, both prewar and postwar, and yesterday was a nice reminder... JS
Of course, sorry. Forgot that 5090 is an SVJ - just mentally cataloged the SN with the color. 5076 is a recent Bobileff resto? I've never seen any others with this colour - any originals? Would look pretty sharp I think with an Ox-Blood interior, methinks. Speaking of SVJ's and Bobileff, how's 4892 coming along - is the restortion done? Been watching for some progress pics since the last shot of the naked aluminum nose... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137337174&postcount=2905
Yes 5076 is by Bobileff. 4892 is coming along nicely and due in August. I will do some more images next week...
Wow! I think that the next few public and private SV sales will go above $1 million as the cars are going into hands of younger collectors who are NOT reselling them. Supply and demand theory at its best and with only maybe under 100 examples left, how many are available at one time? Best, John
5024 has a very similar interior color, it is Pelle Senape and Pig Skin leather type. Very pungent orange tan. I will have interior pictures up in a few weeks. I promised Joe already. : )
5024's pig skin leather is what Lamborghini referred to as Wild Boar Skin when they wanted to impress a customer.... Sinatra ordered his thus trimmed.
Great to see a Miura on a U-Haul trailer. I've done that myself, actually - it works pretty good, so long as you remember to raise the front bonnet as you drive over the front wheel stops. As a side note, those are actually pretty will thought out trailers - I wish they sold them . . .
The coloring is different than other Wild Boar Skin than I have seen in Miuras but yes you are correct....once again LOL it is Wild Boar.
You gotta hand it to your old man for buying that car brand new off the New York Auto Show stand. His friends & family must have thought he was nuts
Alex's rare chrome-bumpered SV 4920. Great seeing you & your beautiful family this weekend... next time come with the car! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree with your thoughts, but for most, the Miura will get damaged loading or unloading using a U-Haul trailer. Ive heard the sob storys...
Doesn't look man the coolest in a Miura? I've neglected this topic for a few weeks and browsing the last 8 or so pages makes me very happy. Back to work now. I hope there will be some Miura's at the Ace Cafe classic car night 10th of june . . .
