Funny how at the end of the video he says "....the compact stylish Miura was superceded by the big brutish Countach....", when you consider that the LP400 Countach which replaced the Miura is actually smaller. LP400 is shorter, lower, lighter, but a little wider. It is funny that the Countach is perceived as a large car when it is really smaller than the Miura.
i like this video nothing embarassing Joe, at the contrary it is an interesting video of a veeeery rare machine that most unfortuantel will never be able to experince first hand all times i watch it it put a smile on my face and i cannot say that good things about Tiff Needell (since he was supposed to race the countach QVX AND ALSO wrote in his 96 Top gear article that he liked the VT roadster more than F50, xj220...and even the MC F1! :-o )
Tiff Needell put the car through its paces with such enthusiasm it overheated. Ive got pics to prove it, but they are locked away in my vault Also, I drove SVJ 4934 several times when it lived in California, and thats when I concluded that the engines in SVJs are standard SV units in standard specification.
lol it does not surprise me too much: it looks he liked to drive it you are lucky to have been able o drive so many interesting cars! as for the SVJ i have not been lucky to see one in real life but i believe you in their engine being the same as the SV (all lambo "conoscenti" would agree with this)
4820 sold at 891K per SCM - this car was previously RHD, now LHD. The Jota 4892 was NS at 2M at Russo and Steele the same day. Nothing major in SV land in the public domain since.
Hi Joe Do you know where 4820 is now,I remember seeing it in the UK when it was silver before it was converted to LHD by DK Engineering, has it gone to Australia? there was a collector looking for a RHD SV Miura there, he looked at my P400 last year but had his heart with an SV which he could restore to his own specification
somebody know any verde miura SV with old italian plates? i am talking about the black plates with white letters
Is there a sky blue Muira roadster that is available? And if so, how much are they asking for it and how much is it worth? How many Muira roadsters are out there and are they factory originals or aftermarket creations. Mark Gerish of Genaddi, the inventor of the Ford GTX1 told me if I were to purchase a regular Muira, he can cut the top open and reinforce the Miura`s structure for $45K if I paid him up front. Any help and advise will be greatly appreciated.
If I am not mistaken, I think Mark Gerish of Genaddi has cut several Miuras and made them roadsters. That is what he claims anyways. He also has invented a three piece carbon fiber top for the Murcielago Roadster. He claims that he cut over 200 Ford GT tops and converted them to roadsters. He claims he is certified with Lamborghini Italy.
That is great for Mark. It's terrible for these cars. They don't make them any more and, IMO, cutting one so your hair blows a bit when you drive it is criminal. There are plenty of convertibles you could buy without having to ruin such a rare and special automobile.
