On an aspirated engine shorter stack and exhausts give a higher peak end at high rev, if you make the intake and the headers longer until they come together you will have more torque at the lower end, that's known.
As for this engine it remains unknown what was the intention.

It's pure BS. Many years ago, Gérard Gombert or "La Gombe" lived with a nice woman. They didn't have any children, after separating she made her life with an Australian, she got a son. This young man is 30 years old and don't care about cars. "La Gombe" with 72 years old is very kind to the son he never got... So, 120 cars will have to be sold after his death, if not before due to a "Prefecture" law about cars scraps & cimetery (fuel, batteries, oil must be out of the cars in order to protect soil, ground from pollution).

Happy to hear that, there are a lot of special cars, mainly Alpines, on his property that deserve to be rescued.

yes about half of them needs real interest... most of Alpine Gr3 or 4 worth now in good shape +/-, like the one who won 24 Hours Le Mans back in 1959...

here are some pics of the 1st Miura he bought in Italy, 1st ride, 1st "landing" at new home in Antibes... he seemed so proud...

No idea. He can't remember VINs.
He is natived from Paris but had a 2nd place/home in Antibes, where he built up very quickly his image of "polyester" repairshop (Alpine, Lotus, buggies...), he was the only one in France back in 1958. He owned about 10 Miuras, like these 3 ones...
The last Miura he sold in 2008 was the ex french singer "Christophe", a verde/nero sitting in the backyard of the Miura orange picture. It is now under full restoration, still in France.

Fascinating!. I never knew Christophe has one of these. When did he have it? Do you have picst of that? Unlike J. Haliday who was a hot head full of s.. at the time, this guy was keeping to himlself...

Yes he did. He had it from mid '69 to end '70. I've no pics... not this time...

Here a couple of another Miura owned by La Gombe when he just moved from Antibes to "Fayence"...

Well, this is one of my picture I took 3 years ago.
I've met the owner in June, he told me this Miura was finished. Hope to visit his garage again in a near future.
