That's the way this Miura's livery was as used by the first famous owner, this can be seen in the film. The color of the stripes (dark green & gold) may have the significance of the Conan Doyle family crest or colors. EE (Escursionisti Esteri) 2615 Touring plates as mounted on the car when new, presumably ACD picked it up at the factory and drove it away himself to his chateau in Switzerland's Vaude canton.
Hi Can ask: In the photographs it looks like the Avon CR6ZZ. Are these the tyres that were fitted before the change back to standard? And can i ask what size they are? I just ask because they don't make the right sizes in the Avon CR6ZZ. I think originally the Muira fitted 205VR15 Pirelli Cinturato CN72. THen 215/70VR15 front and 225/70VR15 Michelin XWX on the rear. THen they went to the Pirelli Cinturato CN12 215/70 front and 255/60VR15 rear. This 255/60R15 is a pretty special tyre. To my knowlege it only fits the rear of an SV Muira and a couple of years of Aston Martin Vantage, so we were pretty pleased to get Pirelli to make them again. For a rear Avon make a 245/60R15 (not tall enough, but will probably fit) and a 275/55R15 which is has the right diameter, but is too wide.
Adrian's widow sold it in 1971 according to www.miuraregister.com In the very enjoyable Joan Bakewell interview, Adrian states that he didn't have any children.

Based on the technical data available both at Lamborghini (Miura Homologation / Specs. sheet) + Michelin, the 225/70VR15 XWX has never been specified for the Miura. The 215/70VR15 XWX did. Even if this configuration (215-front & 225-rear) is quite common nowadays on Miura P400 & P400S equipped with SV rear wheels, it is not a perfect choice technically speaking. It is in a size that has never been homologated on any Miura version. Its overall dimensions are bigger than the 215 = - section width : 228mm vs 221mm for the 215 - outside diameter : 697mm vs 683mm - cire. bearing : 2140mm vs 2076mm in addition, and according to both Michelin and ETRTO official documentation (European Tyre & Rim Technical Organisation) this 225/70VR15 size of tyre is specified - and validated - to be mounted on rim width from 6"(mini) to 8"(maxi)= not on the wider 9" SV rear wheel... Hope this helps.
Thank you for the above helpful information. Interestingly, the Michelin XWX 225/70 VR15 were OE tyres on the rear of the Ferrari 512BB which had 9" rear rims.

Correct, I misinterpreted Kidston's comment that it was owned by the son and "stored in a Geneva garage from his 1970 death until 2014". By "son", he meant Adrian.
Thank you for these Bruno. I belive the 2 red Countachs are new Downdrafts supplied for the shoot by the French concessionaire?
