    rather nasty situation here...

my uncle left his 355f1 at a gas station and asked them to top her up on glycoshell. when he picked the car up later he drove it for about 8-10 km and parked it. after a couple of hours he was about to leave but the gearbox warning light was flashing and wouldn t allow him to shift gears (obviously).

i checked the car 2 days ago and there was an overfill in the gearbox fluid tank, and it also seemed to be the wrong colour. instead of being clear red it was a foggy dark red. i quickly came to the conclusion that some **** managed to put glycoshell into it and kept on till it seemed full.

any ideas as to the possible extend of the damage? the actuator is a 1 year old exactly and the F1 pump was changed end of july with a new one.

good thing i never let anyone touch anything on my 355 :/

I answerd this also in your other thread. But some gearboxs use Auto transmision fluid which is RED. Even manual boxes can use this type of oil. This is why your oil is the colour that it is. Is it deffo glycoshell in it??

and like i said, i know tis red, but it just didn t look right

and glycoshell is my best bet. i checked the car 2 weeks ago and it seemed fine and apart from the local ferreri dealer nobody messed with it.

well nobody xept the guys at the gas station that is but they were only asked to put glycoshell in

    so that s my bet

i mean cold engine and the level was all the way to the top :/

let s just keep it on one subforum, no point answering twice :)
