After much pain and suffering the last month with our new Cl600 that refused to go 50 miles without a check engine light. we got the dealer to buy it back and have added a Lapis Blue 05 Cayenne Turbo to our collection. BTW Nigel what was your car i the shop for. we must of just missed you. I saw them detailing your car in the showroom. Hope my next v12 doesnt give me the same heartache.

The Maserati has been very good We have had it since Feburary (Valentines gift for Mel). Only issues was alignment went bad (probably due to autocrossing it and various "fun" runs " I dont remember lending it too some named matt right???) and battery died on me after leaving the door cracked overnite both of which are not too big a deal considering my aweful luck with Mercedes/BMW.

The only pain in owning a Maserati is the depreciation. Bought car for about 100k would be lucky to get 70k for it 8 months later. It will inevitably be traded in for a slightly more exotic convertible with F1/egear type tranny.

Sorry to hear about the CL. Mercedes quality has dropped considerably in recent times. I am beginning to think that Mercedes feel that they can sell their cars by name alone. Too bad they continue to ruin their previous reputation of building 'vault' like cars. The Porsche should be alot better. Great color choice too.

MK - Hope you had a great christmas. My car was at HBL getting the Dupont clear bra put on. So far no major defects (1500miles). Took it out to the blue ridge Sunday for some spirited driving. 50/50 weight dist for front engine V-12 is a different (good) feel. You'll have to drive it soon (so you can get one). I'd get it in ferrari red though next time.....I got suckered by the whole 007 thing. See you soon. Nigel.

I agree with you on the red. You would be the only one. Nevertheless it's a freak'n' Aston

My wife has already mentioned the AM Vanquish S as a dream car of hers.
of course the guy at the AM dealership said if I drove the AM I would no longer car for Murcielago.
    what say you???
How do you like the tranny?

Nigel: Were you on River Road in Potomac on Sunday? I saw an absolutely beautiful new Aston turning onto River Rd. I was stopped at the light-Red 355 Spider.

Update, Our decision has been made for the last car in our stable.
We plan to bring home a TDF blue CS to complete our garage. Have decided to keep the Maserati as our convertible car.
So in the new house will be
    Diablo
    Challenge Stradale
    Maserati Spyder CC

    Outside garage
    Porsche Cayenne Twin Turbo
    Chrysler 300c
    Big Red Hemi Pickup

And we will not buy any more toys until our second garage is built
I have encloes a couple of pics of the CS we plan to acquire for valentines day
    :)
