Hey, Atleast the Astros will beat the Dodgers again in the World Series.
The Dodgers are first to 70 . Their weakness is their bullpen BUT they will put some starters over there in the playoffs and have some good prospects in the minors who might come up. They have just awesome power. The Giants have made an incredible comeback. The reason for their negative scoring differential even though they are at 500 shows what a horrible start they had. It's interesting to see Yu Darvish finally coming around for the Cubs. I thought he was on course to be Epstein's all time bust of a deal. In the meantime, time is running out for Nats. 6.5 games behind Atlanta. I don't think they can catch them.
The fortunes of baseball can be wicked. A week ago, the Red Sox demolished Yankees pitching in the first three games of a series at Fenway, scoring 38 runs, including 19 in one game. The Yankees salvaged a win in the last game of the series to at least lessen the damage, but everyone thought, here - finally - come the Sox. Well, since then, the Red Sox have not won a single game! The Yankees have won the first three games of a series in the Bronx to stretch Boston's losing streak to 7, and are threatening to sweep the series after chasing David Price with a six-run 2nd inning. Just when you think the BoSox are beginning a run to try and get close to the Bombers, they reverse course and fade into the background, and possibly to oblivion, at least for 2019. Strange game!
Rookie Judge vs rookie Alvarez Player/rookie PA BA OBP SLG HR ISO wRC+ k% hard hit % BABIP A Judge 172 .315 .419 .685 15 .370 187 29.1 45.8 .383 Y Alvarez 173 .340 .422 .693 13 .353 191 24.9 50.9 .400 These are 2017 Judge #'s ^^. Dang, it’s amazing how similarly these two started their careers. But Aaron Judge was 25 as a rookie, and Alvarez barely 22. in his 27 games during 2016, Judge slashed .179/.263/.345 with a 62 wRC+
The Astros fans down here are now akin to what it feels like to have a consistent team that is always a contender. We've never had a team be this consistent and this strong ever.
Last year was the Red Sox year. This year is the Yankees year. 26 injuries and the bottom half of the lineup just keeps killing it. When the players on the Injury List come back, you ain’t seen nothin yet. Yankees winning percentage .661, Dodgers .658
100% agree with you. I remember the days.... You have a VERY solid team that can win it. The problem is my expectations of the Yankees. We "should" ALWAYS have a solid team and I think beside all our injuries, We to can win it. I've been making the comment at work: who says a minor league team can't be in 1st place. Arrogant I know, but just making fun.
I think there are more Astros fans than Oriels fans. lol 11-1 top 5th. Correa hit the furthest homerun in camden park history. I believe I understood that correctly.
YorDAN - 51 RBI - in first 45 games. Most by a rookie since 1920. More than Williams, DiMaggio, and Pujols. Crushing it. 1.175 OPS.
