I've seen Altuve listed at 5'7" but I suspect that he may be shorter than that.

Verlander and Soto both look 10 years older than their stated ages...

Strasburg is a top five pitcher in his prime. Additional motivation can be found by re-negotiating his existing contract, or opt out.

Verlander is an old fart that has too many innings this season, on his frame. The Astros manager should have put the interests of the team ahead of personal stats. JV has been fatigued since the beginning of the post season. I don’t think the choke moniker should be applied to his post season results. JV should have been pulled at the end of the 4th inning. Of course, it is all to easy to play arm chair QB, on Monday morning.

JV finished the 4th with 93 pitches. Stras barely had a workout at the same point. No excuses -

I have no clue what will happen today. My guess it depends on which Max Scherzer shows up. The Astros have some options - Grienke for three to five and Urquidy.

Lots of other potentially fun options. All hands on deck !

O/T. I was next to a boatload of classy Nats fans. The Nats fans I noticed demonstrated exemplary behavior. Some of the fans who support the team from the Bronx should take notes. Even worse is the indifference demonstrated, by Yankee Stadium security.

I'm at least glad it's come to a Game 7 looking back at the 0-2 start. I just keep seeing Springer and Altuve being the guys tonight. Springer now has the most multi-base hits or something like that in WS history with 13 I believe. And he's played in 2 WS games. That's impressive.

This is odd...the entire series every time I saw Greinke I thought I've seen that guy in person back in high school. I looked him up and we were in high school same time in the same county (rival school) and he played us. I think we have more famous alum. AJ Pierzynski and Johnny Damon. :)

If the Astros lose, that will be the first question for them to answer. Dude barely threw any pitches that many innings in...

80 pitches, few under duress. Not a lot with a whole winter to rest.

    Agree.

Sherzer threw 1.5 as many pitches and Greinke did.
