Maybe, are the New England Patriots? All I ever hear is how they are cheaters, the difference is Houston won a World Series specifically with cheating. ALL of the Dodgers pitchers said during and after the games 'It's like they know what we are throwing every time'. One guy had an ERA of something like 2.1, and it was 8.0 after the series. Yes, I know, that can happen, but when EVERY pitcher says that... They must not be, or they would be winning more often?
If you get tired of watching MLB, try the Little League World Series. The regionals are currently airing on ESPN. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
This is how the WS is run this year. Interesting that the Wild Card is expanded AND its now a best of 3 series instead of a single game. Getting closer to the NHL format. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Dodgers are on a run not seen in decades Los Angeles has a .644 winning percentage since 2017 https://www.mlb.com/news/the-dodgers-are-on-a-run-not-seen-in-decades The Dodgers are 46 games over .500, on a 37-wins-in-45-games streak. They have an 18-game lead in the division. They’re on pace to win a team-record 113 games. They have scored the most runs in the Majors. They have allowed the fewest runs in the Majors. You’d think that would be a monumentally successful year, the kind you talk about for decades. For most franchises, it would be. Yet for the 2022 Dodgers, it's almost par for the course. It's getting less play than a local television reporter injuring himself going down a slide. The main baseball topic, when it’s not coming to terms with the fact Walker Buehler will not be returning, or wondering about Clayton Kershaw’s back, is angst over the struggles of Cody Bellinger and Craig Kimbrel. They are, again, on pace to win 113 games.
I always enjoy the LLWS. Games are much quicker, players are more respectful, and it reminds me of the last time I was ever decent at playing ball.
Williamsport High School teams had one of the greatest names ever: "The Millionaires". They played in the old Central Penn league back when cities had one big public high school. York, Lancaster, Reading, Harrisburg. And then there was tiny Steelton. About 20% of the enrollment of their competitors and perennial champs. And talk about great names: "The Steelton Steamrollers".
I love some of the names of minor league teams. IronPigs? RailRunners? SandGnats? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Its still August and the Dodgers have already won 90 games winning over 7 out of every 10 games they play.
The recent Padres makeover does not appear to have delivered the desired outcome. How long until it is time to end the experiment and move assets. The stars will soon need to be paid or start packing. A mediocre record will result in the GM losing his head and some of the vets being moved for prospects. The Nats will be a good team within three seasons.
They say the ball never came down. Maybe they found the remains of the ball on Louisiana Street. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMFAO Can't wait for him to take his BIG BAT and point the lumber at the Crawfish Boxes - just before entering the batter's box. He will also lose his helmet quite a bit. A real Dominican Hot Dog .
Detroit was Framberized this evening. Complete game 9 inning shutout - 107 pitches Lord I am a Frambering Man.
Dodgers take the NL West division -- on track for one of the best "run difference" stats in a season in history. 9th NL title in the last 10 years. Mookie is amazing. Freedie Freeman is worth his weight in gold. When you have a team that has Bellinger batting NINTH, you know you have some offense.
So Judge has 60 homers in 147 games. If he gets to 61 by game 154 (likely), there’ll be no need for an asterisk! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Has there ever been a baseball player that signed a 200 million+ dollar contract and NOT ended up on the DL within one year? How many players have signed super-duper contracts (at the time) and have then out-performed their new contract? Not many.
What are the odds of pitcher(s) serving it up so they can be a part of history? Then again, we have no idea who Maris hit his 61st off of...
Players should have a lower base salary and the contract should have a heavy number of incentives. The players do not want any part of this.
You know what I cannot figure out? ALL Pro sports - the salaries went up HUGE literally overnight. MANY players in basketball getting 175 million+ now, NHL players would make 2-3 million just a couple of years ago, now it's 40-80 million, and baseball: 200 million? 80-100 mill common? NFL - seems like you are making the rookie minimum OR 20 million+ no matter who you are. TV contracts have not gone up THAT much in the last five years. I'm not questioning a player's ability to command a crapload of money and getting it, I'm wondering where in the hell did the HUGE pile of money come from?
