Cool! I can't wait for the season to start.

Any reason why you go through the net as oppossed to through your cable provider? I just ordered the MLB subscription through Direct TV.

Lots of interesting stuff going on with the Dodgers and Angels lately. Should be a fun season.

ha! in anticipation of a bad year for the Birds ( :( ) and the fact that I'm not home when the games are on (evening games start at 4-5pm out here), I canceled my DirecTV "extra innings" subscription.

the woman I spoke to at customer service is marred to a guy from STL...she understood

at any rate, I am ready for opening day...I hope the Cards have a great season but I suspect it's a "rebuilding year".

Unlike Chas, I am not a fair weather fan.

Slag-- the advantage (I think) is that I can get home and away feeds, on demand. The clickable stats are very impressive, and I can pause/replay/live and skip-to any past inning. There is a LOT of interactive content.

I'm just playing with it now and learning how it works. I have a bluetooth Magic mouse and bluetooth keyboard in my lap, so I can control it somewhat easily. We'll see how it works over time. The feed is very clear, and (so far) very very smooth.

p.s. This Nats/Bos game is actually pretty good -- for spring ball.

p.s. Chas -- this subscription travels with you. You could watch on your computer at the office, on your phone driving home, and then on your big screen when you get back to Casa Cognito in L.A.

Very cool, thanks for the info. The stats are cool - Especially for a fantasy geek like me. :)

Now I just need the 430 difusser bolts I ordered from you so I can put my car back together. :) They are not late or anything - I just ordered them.

Enjoy the season!!! Sorry about the whole Pujols thing....

    DirecTV subscription wasn't portable.

who knows I might subscribe. DirecTV was ~$200 for the season, or basically $1 per Cardinal game, so not totally ridiculous.

and fair weather fan? dem's fightin' words. we'll duel at dawn in the parking lot of Sportman's Park. :p

$125 IIRK for MLB premium (not including post season). For me, the portability was important because I'll be out of town several times this summer. Again... we'll see how it goes.

WTF is Sportman's Park? It is called Jackie's Place! Don't forget it.

iphone compatible? or more importantly, AT&T network compatible?

    Jackie's Place! ha.

not sure why you ever left STL you would have fit in so well :p

I had it last year, well worth the 120 some odd bucks it was. You get every game (unless it's blacked out due to national tv or local tv)

Worked well on the iPhone also, but you have to pay the 15 bucks for the app. I caught every Cardinal game as well as the other notable games (no hitters, etc) thanks to it. It allowed me to watch all of the games on the greatest day in MLB history (games 162ast year) which was more than worth the investment, :)

The iPad app is very slick. There was no charge, from what I can tell. Using it with my premium account is seamless, and I'm watching the action at Chavez Ravine with good detail. I am not a stats junkie, so on some level, this is almost overkill.

    It's good to be king.

I feel great today... must be something in the air. :)

Are you watching Santana make his comeback there?

Truth is, I'm switching over the Cubs as soon as it starts.

(This will become overload soon, I'm sure. But for the Cards games, it'll rock !)

Now here's the rub on MLB. Nats are considered "in market" for this software, so I can't watch online. :(

But, I have a solution to that:

    really? what about the Braves?

I always assumed the Carolinas were Braves territory, unless they do it based solely on closest market by distance.

I don't know how they do it -- but I agree with your assumption. I get audio-only on the "in market" games. So, if I wanted to kick it old-school, I could listen to WGN radio via this MLB Premium.

Nice, you have it all covered!

Looks like Santana did ok. I know he was on a 95 pitch count, so they pulled him after 5 with 84 pitches.
