I was at the Minneapolis Auto Show today. Mostly a sad display of cars except this one . This was really a treat! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would love to have one of those cars. It just looks fast just sitting there. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It certainly does! Here's one at last year's Garden State Fall Ferrari Festival: Image Unavailable, Please Login
OK so these might be a bit late, but here are some pics of the MC12 that the public couldn't get. I actually got to "drive" the thing off the truck and into the convention center, but we never got to hear it run - they had the computers pulled out so we couldn't go light it up downtown. - Mark Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's an engine shot of the car as well as one of me in it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I can't imagine having carbon fibre seats. I'm sure it saves weight, but how much does a peice of alcantara weigh? And how is that very supportive? Just seems weird... Peter Hatch
MCC was just the name they gave the car during development. MC12 is the name of road and race cars. That is the same car, how crazy would it have been to spend hours at a time in that seat? I bet thats a pretty punishing ride.
The reason the seat looks like that is because in this type of car the drive is shared by several drivers during a race. Each of whom are built differently and as a result they have different (removable) seat bottoms poured, which are swapped out at the driver changes.
