I don't have a need for motorcycle oil but those who are looking for automobile oil should keep an eye on the 5 quart jugs of Mobil 1 at Walmart, typically around $25. I'll let everyone do the math but that price blows away the "sale" prices you will see at Autozone or NAPA. Depending on the store, they have the 15W-50 that I used for my 400i, the 5W-30 for my wife's car and good old 10W-40 that I use for my old BMW 5 series. For the 400i, that price in conjunction with Baldwin filters instead of UFIs turns a $200 plus DIY oil change into a $120 oil change.
The additive package is different than for passenger cars. I can not tell you the exact difference but my current client makes additive packages for the major oil companies. They have specific blends for motorcycles. Ken
