Who is the best mobile detailer in the NY area. I am an hour from the city. Looking for the absolute best (regardless of price). Thanks

call Anthony Federico at P1 Motor Cars in Stamford. He works out of the shop but also travels. Great guy, very stand up, does phenomenal work on new and old, including some very high-value collections.

Only guy we let touch the cars.

Anyone ever work with Larry (AMMO NYC)? Seems to do a great job in his videos and detail some very nice collections. All suggestions/help appreciated. Thanks

I know Larry very well, and he's top notch. Knows his stuff, works on some very high end, one of a kind type cars, you can absolutely know that you're in good hands with him.

does ammo travel? if roger says hes good them Im sure he is but detailers having their own product lines tends to put me off.

Ammo travels. I think he started as a mobile detailer (which he still is), but wasn't too fond of any products out there so developed his own...

yeh I don't buy it...good detailers are artists...not chemists...it wld be like Picasso inventing his own paint....you give a great detailer the cheapest products on the market and hes going to run circles around an amateur detailer with the best stuff....especially when you take protection out of the equation....for most of these cars they live in garages and never get exposed to serious weather...

and fwiw ive seen all the new products come and go....after 20 years I personally still think the best recipe is compound if needed, zymol HD clense, 3M imperial hand glaze, and then zymol ital....

    no.
he is very good. ive used tons of people and I can tell in one walk around if a detailer is for real. A lot of guys are trying to make a few dollars and can impress probably 90 percent of the people out there. only a small percentage of the population can tell a good detailer. one of the best guys I ever used moved to Austin texas. Im pretty sure he moved down that at the request of a big client who liked him so much.

Im sure the P1 guy is capable and obviously AMMO is the real deal....some of the ultra high end guys wont do basic detailing but they will do my f40 when I need...for my range rovers and Ferraris I drive everyday ive been very pleased with eric.

yeh im not saying you shldnt trust his skill, im saying if I hired him I wld have him use my recipe like I do with my detailers...don't get me wrong eric is free to use whatever he wants on the rovers etc...but when it comes to the Ferraris or lambos its my recipe...and the CGT is up for grabs...

Ok, got three names here from previous posts:
    Eric Kennett
    Larry at Ammo
    Anthony at P1

I'm going to look each of them up, web site, google, whatever.
Does anyone have anymore info, latest info on either of these guys?

I'm looking for my buddy's C6 that he is interested in having professionally detailed. Those closer to Westchester County helps.

    Thanks,

    Anthony is at P1. p1motorcars.com

They opened the shop last year and are quite busy on the service and detailing side. 203-276-0749. I think he'll work mobile if possible, but it's worth going to the shop to see the projects they are working.

Tommy is one of the best around in the shop. Stamford is not Westchester, but they are worth checking out for detailing or service/upgrade work.
