Does anyone know of a good Ferrari technician in the Essex area of UK, who can make home visit to sort out cam timing on my Mondial.

Not sure I've ever heard of a mobile Ferrari technician anywhere in the UK - you might be better off talking to a local indie such as Grimaldi

As above, there will most likely be a transport cost if the problem is preventing it running or running safely.

Never heard of anything like that in Essex, I couldn't even get a mobile electrician to look at my ignition woes a few years ago.

For cam timing, do you need a Ferrari specialist? There are plenty of engine tuners in the Basildon area who could probably do this for you. Whereabouts in Essex are you?

I've never used Grimaldi but they get very good reviews, Terry Hoyle is very good. I used to go to Fullbridge Restoration until Daryl sold the business - I now do the work myself.

    Thanks all for your replies.
Neil Corns used to travel, but not anymore.
Just thought there maybe a technician who works for one of the specialist who does some weekend work.
I may have to tackle it myself.

A couple of thoughts spring to mind:

    1) I suspect most Ferrari specialists would be pretty unimpressed to find out that one of their technicians was operating their own Ferrari repair business on the side at weekends, taking business away from them.

    2) Having worked on Ferraris all week long, I suspect most technicians look forward to having a day or two away from it. (After a while, I suspect even with Ferraris, the novelty wears off a bit! ;) )

+1 for Grimaldi. I have used Rob for years and nothing is ever too much trouble.
