Looking for a good mobile navigation. Any ideas? I don't know much about them.

I like Garmin a lot. I have one of their aviation units and it's a real gem.

    I have a Garmin 2610.

Bought it after I sold an Acura TSX that had the built in system. The garmin is nice because it goes from car to car (to motorcycle) but it is not nearly as intuitive as the Acura system was.

Well the only one my family has owned came with our car so... tomtom makes at least one good model according to cnet though once you install it your stuck with it. I'd get a portable garmin model. They have a new one out for under 1,000

Was just doing some research on this myself.

I wanted fully loaded detailed maps and some (limited) portability along with ease of operation (touch screen). Neither a large screen, bluetooth operation, or the ability to store ultiple routes were important to me.

My research showed that the cheap ($700) TomTom GO300 had inferior maps to the equivalent ($700) Garmin C330. The ($600) DUAL XNAV3500P also plays MP3s (neat, but pretty unimportant) and is not WAAS enabled.

After doing a net search that showed the Garmin C330 was available at a street price closer to $515, I selected it...
