So, after seeing everyone's model cars on the forum I decided to take a stroll to the nearest hobby shop and pick up a few models. Disclaimer: I've never built anything like this in my life. I figure this is better than mindlessly sitting in front of the TV when my days unwind.

So, in an effort to start "easy," I picked up three models:

    - Revell F430 Coupe
    - Tamiya F40
    - Tamiya Carrera GT

In an effort to help other new modelers, I've created this thread as a total jackass's guide to building model cars. So, here's nothin:

Rule 1.10 - When cutting through the plastic in the mold frames with an X-acto knife, make sure you have something that will prevent said X-acto from stabbing you in your leg.

Rule 1.11 - In case you violate Rule 1.10, Band-Aid now makes their bandages with ointment. I know, pretty cool.

Rule 1.12 - If the label on the paint states that you need ample ventilation, make sure you have ample ventilation. If not, expect paint quality to suffer as you get high as balls.

Rule 1.13 - If you lack the foresight to buy paint thinner/remover and you get paint on your skin, a steel wool pad or sand paper will do the job.

That's all for now. I hope to contribute to this page regularly as I go through the motions of building (destroying) my first couple of models.

Status: Body painted w/ two coats of Italian Red. Seats have a single coat of Desert Yellow.

    Stay tuned...
