Does anyone know of a spreadsheet out there that lists paint colors available for modelers with brands etc that can be used for models?

I have bought some models recently and would like to paint them more authentic then what the companies modeled the bodies into.

    Thanks

I don't have any spreadsheets, but I have had great luck with Tamiya brand lacquers in a spray can. They are available at many hobby shops and you can get a beautiful shine with them. Others can tell you about specialty spray lacquers that are formulated to match factory car colors, but they are mail-order only and more expensive. Try Tamiya first.

Nearly all auto paint supply shops and some accessory shops will be able to mix and match almost any authentic colour and put it into a small aerosol for you. You will get the exact shade of the real car and your only research will be to find the original paint code, which shouldn't be difficult in Ferrari.chat. You should also be able to get undercoat and matt black, silver and other 'standard' colours from the same source directly off the shelf. These are used for chassis and interior etc. Tamiya are fine paints, but they have only a few shades available and they would only be approximations of any Ferrari colour. Try them for the detail brush painting though.

Check Hiroboy for their Zero Paints. WWW.Hiroboy.com Not all brands, but pretty much all the Ferrari colors.
