As some of you know, yesterday a 5.8 earthquake struct Mirandola, a city very near Modena.
It looks like Modena was spared. I have heard from several Italians in and around Modena including those below.

For our lucky all is fine. But not for the people that live around Mirandola.

    Dear Mr. Mandarano,
thank to God we are all fine, no damage to the hotel, neither to the city of Modena. Surroundings toward the seaside weren’t so lucky.
    Thank you for your interest.
    Best regards

    Hi Frank,

I started a thread a few days ago in the historic Ferrari section on this sad topic:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=368872

I have been through those villages when I lived in Modena in 2006 and during visits, very good warm people so it hurts to see them in this situation, one of them told me aftershocks are constant which is very unnerving.
