So today my car became even less oem.. I changed the pcb in my speedo for one developed by a fellow fchatter, Adrian (alhbln) My 308 Gt4 is on its 4th or 5th speedo, the 1st one being changed when the car was on 11 months old... the speedo has a chip, an SAY115Y, its obsolete and as rare as rocking horse whats it. the speedo fails in stages, odo first, slowly... then the needle stops. I guess some cars are worse than others... My speedo has failed 3 times in my ownership, I have changed the sender o there is obviously a gremlin somewhere.. I changed the SAY115Y, buying the last chip in Europe! cost s freaking fortune. but, the speedo worked and the odo was intermittent So I have now fitted a new beta pcb, you set calibrate it by plugging it in and tweaking a resistor until the needle hits 80 mph.. so far so good.
