Hi, gang... It's been a long while, off running my own Corvette themed site. However, I have a question... I am in the midst of researching the modern QP as a possible family sedan. I am not looking at new, but late model used - 2007-2009 or so. What kind of bugs are there? Are these inherently reliable cars? Durable? I have looked at a couple so far, and they seem pretty well screwed together. I love the way they drive, tho. Very firm, very controlled. The ride will never be confused with a Sedan de Ville! Thianks!!!!
By 2007 they were pretty well sorted out. If you go with a ZF automatic transmission as opposed to the duo-select tranny, the maintainence costs go way down. The newer you go, the better they get in terms of build quality and having the bugs worked out. They are durable and absolutely suitable for daily use. The biggest complaint that I've heard is that the infotainment system stinks and is hard to use.
Andrew - Thanks for the info! What you are saying is about what I have heard on the street so far. Nothing very bad, really, nothing earth shatteringly great, either... but reasonably reliable and durable. It will have to last 5+ years, at least. My 1992 Vette has 177k on it, with no major issues. I would want to get 100k or more miles from it. Am I dreaming?
