    I think I see...

    There is Konis above.....In order to get the spring legnth needed they had to drop the base plate to get the travel!

    BTW. When do people learn that "Spyder" is spelled Spider?

    Could have made an exception for a perfect coupe recreation. Jones does great work, but this one is just wrong.

    It's actually context dependant. Ferrari themselves called earlier cars Sypders and later switched the spelling to be Spider.

    I recall that earlier models are just called Cabriolet, and then in the '90 they bagan calling them Spiders...

    Spyder/Spider is not that recent with Ferreri. As an example, Ferrari built both the 250 Cabriolet and the 250 California Spyder, two distinct models in the same time frame
