Has anyone tried one of the modified shift gates which are available - they are supposed to improve the quality and speed of the 1 - 2 and 3 - 4 shifts - which on my Testarossa are pretty difficult.

I have the one from Hill Engineering...not much different, but looks cool. If you have shifting issues, make sure your lever/rod is adjusted correctly (no components are excessively worn), and you have the transaxle drained and filled with the correct fluid. This will have a much greater effect on shifting quality.

Don't know about that "correct oil". I had Castrol in my gear box which NOBODY recommends so I drained it and put in REDLINE 75/80NS which allot of people recommend...No better. 348 has a crappy shifter, I've made enough excuses for it. FORZA Buyers Guide agrees.
