    I had planned to drill the shocks, drain the fluid, then push the bumpers in and screw them in place, thus sort of replicating the euro bumper.

    Then I saw one 308 bumper shock on Ebay for an asking price of $1800!

    Maybe I'll make some brackets for the bumper and sell the shocks instead.

    BTW, there's no fluid to drain... it's compressed gas that will come out through the drilled hole. Also, when you push your bumper in, you won't need to screw them in place... it will stay just fine.

    Thanks for the info. I read the Ebay ad wrong, I guess. Bumper shock was priced around $300.
