I searched on the site and all I got was the differences between the early and late suspensions on the 328.

I have a desire to lower my stock car "just a little bit." Not a ton - no desire for a low rider or something that just plain looks wrong, but enough to reduce the oversized gap I see now. My car is an early '88. Would love to see it handle better as a side effect.

I was able to switch out the springs on my older 911 and get the desired effect on that car.

Can someone walk me through the options available and probable costs to do this on the 328? I am not going to concourse the car, or modify it to death, but this looks like one area of improvement that can be well spent.

Sherpa's 88-1/2 gtb in Denver has ohlin's adjustable all the way around. Looks like a nice solution but seeing as his car is set up differently from the start, not sure if the same system applies to my car.

Is the suspension the same as the 308 QV's? What can I look at? Links, model numbers appreciated.

    Thanks.

At the current stock ride height my early 88 (Feb. 88 build date) still has a hard time on those driveways and raised areas. Lowering looks to me like a good way to be repairing your air dam often.

Stance is everything and the one thing I can't stand is how a these cars set with their nose in the air and ton of air space between the wheel and fender. I never had problems with lowered cars and I live in Michigan with their bad roads, you have to treat them different than a daily driver. Pre-Plan trips, know where your going, take the daily driver if your not sure. I enter most drives at an angle, it helps.

If you like it lower do it, if your going to worry about it don't. If your driveway can't handle a lower car than by all means leave it alone. I like them lowered if I scrape up the front spoiler so what, I fix it. I've fixed plenty of fiberglass race car noses in my day so it really doesn't bother me if I have to repair it. What Ill problably do later is have a spare spoiler to rotate when I damage one.

Since mine sits more than it drives I like to look at it with the right stance, like Chip Foose say's "The stance is everything".

But seriously it depends on what you want if your willing to put up with the inconvenience of a lowered car then go for it , remember they still have clearance problems at stock height.

If I were you I'd go adjustable coil overs that way you can set the ride height where your comfortable. Get the paper weight kit from Verell I think that works with the 328 also. Do a search on coil over mods. for 308's and follow that, Good Luck. You'll love the stance !!!
