    Hi guys,

Did a quick search but couldnt find what I was looking for. For my 2v GTBi looking for a cross reference for the molded crank case breather hose that runs from the aft of the rear cam cover down to the block.

    Thanks!

what is the part number? That hose is 7/8 inch and about 20mm. Napa does not have that size.

Thanks for the replies guys. As Harry mentioned, its part number 107783, # 63 in the diagram. Just wanting to know if there is a Ford/GM/? molded hose that is comparable in shape and dimension that is less expensive.

The US spec hose is different from the straight hose pictured above. Looks more like a number 7 in shape. Instead of the fitting bolting onto the end of the exhaust cam, it is between the cams (so we can have that great air pump drive).

Just checked Ricambi (no access to T-Rutland right now). $131 !!!. That is crazy.

I want to say I got the hose (with the bend) for less than $50 from GT Car Parts (maybe closer to $30 but that was 18 months ago).

    Try Dave Helms.

My '81 has the same issue. Very specially shaped hose.

I am going be a guinea pig and use an idea of his using his "SUPER HOSE" as I could not find a decently priced replacement anywhere.

$130 and change is CHEAP compared to what i found and most did not have it at all.

Since I already have Dave's other hoses, it was a no-brainer.

Could be a long shot but I came across a hose a while ago that may work... My hose on the car is still ok so I don't want to mess with it.. So the hose in below pic is the top radiator hose from a 1275 mg motor found on the later Midgets and Austin Healy sprites. Part # 17-409 for the kevlar version at Victoria British .. Like I said I haven't tried it other than just holding it up to the other one... the id looks to be 13/16ths so if you have yours off the car you can check. The mg hose was $21.
    Cheers

If it is truly 13/16th ID then it might work with a little heat gun. 3/4 (19mm) is too small. My guess is the factory hose is a 20mm hose. Of course, nobody carries that around the Bay area.

Do you have a part number for that? I'm having a hard time finding 7/8 for blow by system. Thanks Mike

Thanks Mark! Looks plausible. I have my old hose off and will measure the ID and report back.

    Guys,

I would be very lery of using a coolent hose in an oil application.

I do not believe that is the smartest of moves.

Good point, I will contact B C to try and determine what it is rated for, as it is Kevlar reinforced, it may work.
BTW can anyone confirm what this hose does (107783)? Nothing in the manual, I do not see it in the oil flow diagram, but a very odd spot for a breather...
