My mom is looking for a new vehicle for herself, which she definately deserves. She wants something that is safe, and loaded. Her important features are Bluetooth and Navigation, along with a higher quality interior. He price range is around $50k, with $60k being maxed out. Shes looked at a VW Toureg, and hated the interior, but like the new Acura MDX she looked at. I want to have her look at all possibilities in her price range, as does she, so she finds something that she is 100% happy about. Any recommendations? All will be considered.

2007 BMW X3. I don't need to promote this car, it is just that great. Get her to drive one, and she will love it.

I like the audi and bmw but haven't driven either since they are new. I have driven the new MDX (dad was looking) very nice car, fun to drive for an suv. Volvo is very nice also-safe definetly and very comfy.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We have definately been considering the Audi, but had completely forgot about Volvo and Lexus. The Volvo site also reminded me about another car she'll really like, the C70. I forgot to mention that she only wants an SUV because there arent many 2 door cars she likes, and she refuses to drive a 4-door. I think she'll really like the C70 though.

Lexus LX470. Deep discounts can be had and these are absolutely bulletproof in the reliability department.

My parents have a Volvo XC90 V8, it's a really nice SUV. I've driven it on multiple occassions when I visit them, and it gets up and goes with the V8 that's in it... :) , plus it is a low-emission vehicle if you're into that sort of stuff.

It should be a contender for a test drive at least.

Might want to give the new GMC Acadia a look-see. I don't think they have bluetooth, though.

I heard those are really nice. Also, you could save yourself some money and go for a Chrysler Pacifica, we have the 2004 model and its amazing.

Well, we've been car shopping all morning, and shes found one she likes, and is almost ready to buy. Ironically its not an SUV. Its the Vovlo C70 hardtop convertable. We test drove one, and she loves everything about it.

Bravo. Way to get her out of a truck. Now, how about a 348 Spider?

I have a 2005 MB ML 350 for work, $51k out the door and the nav system would probably cost a few thousand more. It's been very good to me so far, but regardless of what SUV your mom gets, be sure you specify what tires the car should come with. Most european SUVs are coming with crummy Continentals which are only getting about 15k miles on AWD cars.
