    Sad to hear, Japan's Shelby I'd presume. Skylines are imposing wherever they appear , no matter their official status. RIP Sakurai-san.

    Skyline is such a great car.

    The standard Skylines make for fantastic everyday cars, while the GT-R has a mythical status to it that is hard to describe.

    I've only had experience with skylines of the last three generations; hardly enough to build a solid opinion on; but those early skylines were just 'nicely styled s*** boxes instead of boxy and ugly S*** boxes.

    In addition, I don't think he could be compared to Carrol Shelby either. Carrol was one heluva race driver, a fanatic manager and team boss who won Le Mans/ FIA World Championchips both as a driver and as a boss and owner; not to mention the legendary street machines.

    If anybody, I'd say he is like Jon Moss, John Colletti, or Zora Arkus-Duntov
