Interesting sales technique: asking your potential customers what they think your item is worth.

On topic: any idea from which year / period this F1 steering wheel is? The lack of gear change paddles dates it at least before 1989.

That was my initial thought as well: a steering wheel from the seventies. But sure there is someone out there who knows?

Do I take it that this is a brand new unused item and the one you referenced has a racing history and provenance ?

It's clear that Momo produced quite a lot of these. Unless the steering wheel has a racing history, with proof, the value won't be that high.
