For Sale MOMO MD-014 Chronograph Rare

This is a Vintage Momo Design Speed Sports Quartz Wrist Watch MD 014. That was never worn. I am a collector and I have had this for many years safely tucked away. It has a few scratches on the back bezel as I had the battery changed several times, but never wore it. The glass is perfect and it comes with the original tube, Momo seat belt cover holder and spare metal bracelet. It was in perfect working condition when the last battery died. These are the coolest and most classic of the Momo designs and I can't find any for sale now in this condition.

While in his 20s, Gentleman racer and Momo founder Giampiero Moretti created Momo (a combination of Moretti-Monza), initially to make steering wheels but later adding such equipment as racing suits, helmets, shift knobs, shoes, fireproof underwear and even seats and wheels. His first big break came when Ferrari factory driver John Surtees discovered Moretti's steering wheel and had one installed in his Ferrari 158 F1 car in 1964, the year he claimed his sole F1 title. In 1966, Moretti opened a factory in Verona to produce steering wheels.

If you were a fan of Ferraris or racing cars, Momo was "the brand" and this was the watch for you! I am having to thin out my collection and it is very hard for me to part with his wonderful time piece.


Swiss made by eta quartz caliber g10 4 jewels movement.
Date calendar 1/10 second, 30 minutes registers chronograph functions.
Solid 316 stainless steel, satin finish case.
Carbon fiber bezel. (that is what the original description said, not sure if it is true!)

Actually this would be a lot cooler than one of those new million dollar Ferrari watches. All this vintage Momos stuff is for real enthusiasts. I have a collection of Momo steering wheels and he is one of my heroes along with Enzo Ferrari!

 

There's only a handful of bands with rich guys! ha I really don't wanna sell this watch because it's part of my Momo collection but I'm getting older and I have so much stuff I want to make sure it gets into the right hands!!

Yes it uses a standard button battery and if anyone buys it and wants I will have a new one installed.
