I'm confused to why MOMO offers all other color stitching beside white when ordering new wheels from their site. I had to replace my original wheel and white stitching was the standard color for all 308 steering wheels they made... I sent them several emails asking or requesting this special option when I ordered my new replacement wheel ... NO RESPONSE received!!!!

I hate that you can't get white stitching. If I was buying a new one I'd just get black, but it wouldn't be my first choice. I saw a used one on Ebay a few months ago with white threads, you might check there?

I bought my Prototipo directly from Momo last year, and it has white stitching. In fact, I don't recall any other color being available besides white. Is it just the Monte Carlo that isn't offered with white stitching?

    Thanks for sharing Rob

The wheel is an all original piece, definitely not refurbished

I have to say though, Rob decided to go with the best one I had available. While the others are in good condition too, this one is in fact as new. I wouldn't have mind keeping it in the collection but as they say, you can keep them all. But more importantly to me, the wheel is in good hands. ✌️

I was tossing out my old MOMO catalogs, as an aftermarket supplier they were very "colorful" but I think any Ferrari Factory order in quantity would have been to Ferrari's order.

I know they early 308 steering wheels come up in the market rarely.
I suppose when mine finally needs it a Shop can do the order.

I've always considered their Prototipo wheel to be 'the' perfect style for our older 308's.

Particularly when complimented via a retrofitted early model silver gauge fascia, in lieu of the OEM black:

(not to worry; all of the OEM pieces are safely stored should I ever wish to revert)

Bonus points if you've already noted the VDO gauge conversion, which I've well documented here before.

@GrigioGuy did something similiar, but I seem to recall he simply flipped his fascia over?

I purchased this steering wheel last year but never installed it. It 's in near new condition, looks like an original QV wheel, but on the back I noticed a '91 mfg date. Any idea what model this was originally for?

Looks like a 328 wheel to me. Is it for sale? :)

Wasn't planning on selling it, but was curious as to the model it was for. 328s were produced until 1989. This was dated 1991 and isn't for the 348. Was curious

Possibly a replacement momo wheel. Original ones only have these inscriptions at the back:

That's a general aftermarket piece. While it's esthetically the same, the OE versions have an 'F' stamped on the rear above the other markings, indicating it's a 'F'errari wheel ;)

Guess I'm in the minority. I prefer the black stitching used on the current montecarlo.

What are the original 308 / 328 wheels worth in decent to good condition?
