Interesting how the spectators and photographers are so close to the racing cars. No safety measures at all.

 

Amazing how empty the harbor was.

 

And how small it was.

 

Excellent video. 1.5 liter race cars, I believe the silver car was a Porsche. The course, before they extended the big swimming pool.

 

The video reveals how much we have lost over the years. The city was far more beautiful back then. And the racing was far more exciting. F1 should go back to these cars and throw away the video game crap they use today.

my first monaco gp was in 1973 tho.
things were different back in those days, but not as innocent as 62.
progress isnt always progress.
