I submitted this picture a few years ago in the forum which l found at my fathers. He passed away this year and I have scanned all his slides and came across the picture. There was a gentleman that asked for a larger file of it which l am able to do now. I believe I took this picture while my parents visited the Monte Carlo casino.
    cheers

This thread is fantastic...thanks for the link Giotto!

As a side note - how come in the photo in this thread the car has no ferrari badge but in the other thread it does? maybe just the scanner didnt pick it up off the old photo...in some of marcels old photos the car doesnt have the badge either.

I don't think the golden car is on a 330LMB, nor is it the red car that Chinetti had, off and on. Rather, it is the rebody of the 330 TRi LeMans winner 0808, as it was offered to me back in the day, from Italy. It came with a spare coupe body. We were never able to come to terms (remember, it was just another used Ferrari then), and it eventually went through Chinetti to Okada, who used to drive it around New York with the coupe body. Ended up with Bardinon, who had it rebodied back the LM configuration. Not sure, but I think this spider body was mounted on another chassis for/by Chinetti, and was well-known on the east coast. Sorry, but I loaned my pix of the golden car to someone, and they never came back.

Great picture! I love older color images-- you can imagine what it would be like to walk into the scene.

A lot prettier than 0808's modern rebody which wasn't too accurate.

That car looks like it came from a Jetson's cartoon --- in a good way.

How strange and futuristic it must have looked in 1964.
