365GTS #12269 went for 799500 euros ($1.236m) at Monaco auction, including premium. Estimate had been 500-800,000 euros.

The unsold could easily be related to very unrealistic reserves vs a fragile market. Considering that the numbers on many of the sold cars were very strong, I'd lean more to the unrealistic reserve or problems with the car itself than a fragile market. Look at the sale numbers for the Maseratis, all record sale prices, even if the exchange rate were 1 to 1 those are all strong numbers above the preceived market for each model.

The only car that jumps out at being low based on the rest of the auction is the 512BB, but its sale price is in line with the market for a Boxer.

275's were not exactly prized cars IMO

It was bought by an argentinean guy through Martin Chisholm from UK.
He´s new to the circle though he had bought a car at last Maranello auction.

Coys had a good standard of presentation with cars for all price ranges.

Competition Daytona was bid to €2.35 million and was a no sale

Best price of the night was the Maserati MC12 at €1.27million (not including BP)

For Ferraristi the car attracting lots of attention was the 250 California Spyder "for sale" by private treaty -

We had a private viewing and test drive of the car on Thursday. Looks like it probably needs a new clutch and exhaust and possibly a gearbox rebuild. There were also signs it had been driven quite hard (racing tyres). Also had a modern stereo system which was out of place.
