Dose anyone remember the link to a member on the east coast who made and sold the Top Latches (male) for the Mondial QV Cab (top)? I just broke mine and need one fast. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Contact "ronfrohock" via the search mode.

He has the upgraded ones for sale.

Every Mondial Cab owners should buy a set, b/c no matter how careful you are with the originals, they will eventually break.

    Cheers

I did buy some of Ron Frohock's toggles and they are a definite improvement for latching the top. I'd certainly recommend them.

BTW, I bought them a few weeks ago from Ron. If you need his email address, I'm happy to send it.

I do have some remaining. Im glad the toggles have worked out well for so many.

Im always looking for other parts to remanufacture if anyone has any thoughts.

    Ron,
FWIW: I added elastic straps to the tonneau cover tabs (which attach behind the back seats) to make affixing it much easier.

Rob, could you please post a photo of the elastic straps you added?

    Thanks.

Hey Rob, from your post, I'm guessing that you don't start snapping with the "behind the back seats" first. If you start there, the rest all falls into place perfectly.

    Cheers, Hank

    Hank,
I have tried snapping behind the back seat first. It's just that perhaps my tonneau has shrunk a bit and it's difficult to get the back snaps in place.
I plan to now snap the back first then and then just use the small elastic pulls to snap under the top in the back seat. I'll post a photo this weekend. I think this is going to make life a bit easier, and the elastic, of course will not be visible.

It took but a few moments. The car upholstery shop where I had it done did not bother to even charge me. It's easily undone if need be.
    The photos are attached.

    My bad Rob,

I didn't even think about the possibility that it may have shrunk. Well, your fix is certainly a valid and easy fix :)

    Cheers, Hank

Great photo--I've thought about doing the same thing. Now I just may go do it!

Thanks . . . I was getting tired of my thumbs being sprained trying to get the tonneau attached! It's a quite easy fix, for sure, and by adding the elastic to the tab behind the seats, it is not noticeable. It is also very undo-able too.
FWIW, I had also thought to maybe just add extender elastic (and not sew it to the tabs) by affixing to the original tenax with a female snap and then to just add another fastener on the elastic to snap onto the fastener behind the seat. (Does that make sense?).
    Rob
