Would love to hear more! ;) Is that the guy in Houston that has matching cars? One with VERY low mileage, the other a bit higher?

Well, I was in a bad spot. I was back home because my mother was dying. I met this old guy who was the original owner (Imagine a Jensen Healey dealer in Pensacola) and found out he used to double date my older sister. I know, I know, I ****ed up. Not the first time, probably not the last.

Sorry to hear about your mom.

Am surprised a JH lasted that long in salt air without turning into a pile of red dust. At least it was a cheap mistake.

Did I mention it has rust... Funny, it's on one side. Maybe one side of the garage got wetter than the other.

He probably doesn't like having to drop the motor to do the timing belts. :)

While the merits of the two are being debated... is the T's fusebox as susceptible to circuit board problems as the 3.2 and earlier models?

To me, the big question for this is which do you feel is more beautiful to your eye? Half the folks prefer the 3.2, the other half the 't'.

In my opinion, the 3.2 is the best 'all arounder.' Looks great and easier to maintain than the t.

Some folks like the black trim, in this case, I would recommend the qv or 8. QV over the 8 of course just because of the power bump. The 8 if you are looking for value "bank/bang for buck."

They are all 'slow' cars, yet they feel more alive and faster then my 456 or QP 5.5 that cun run circles around them.

Another option if you want to be frugal and like the body-colored trim get a QV and 8 and paint the black trim like so:

^^^^ many folks say this is ugly, par for the course, the Mondial divides opinions more than Islay Scotches. ^^^^

It was not long ago folks would say the above is an abomination on man. I respect them, as I respect all opinion on 'art.'

......but something deep down tells me they read one too many internet articles deciding from them what they should feel. For that I'm grateful, 7 years ago, I would never have been able to comfortably afford a Ferrari motor otherwise.

Scuderia Repante and our own member @theunissenguido can resolve 30-year-old fuse boxes. While these are 'bargains' they are not 'cheap.' They are often owned by folks that can afford to drop 30K, but not necessarily afford the maintenance of what should be a 100K car.....

The clutch job is super easy - it's dropping the engine ala 348/355 that makes the 't' and questionable acquisition.

I'm partial to the 3.2 since I own one, but when I was looking to buy, the capability of belts and clutch jobs on the east-west engine cars made it a no brainer over the north-south layout in the T. I like to wrench on my cars, and dropping the driveline for common maintenance was a non starter.
It is obviously personal preference, but I think the later 3.2s are also the best looking. When they squared off the side intake rakes and flattened out the wheelwell openings on the T, they removed some of the soul from the earlier design. I must admit, however, that the interior on the T is a vast upgrade from the older models.

Its the same board, just the right upper relay is a bridge in the t model instead of a relay. And fuse 10 (or 9 in some drawings) is not used in model t.
So QV, 3.2 , 328 and mondial t have same board. Mondial 8 has a different diagram on his board.
So same board, same problems...and like Paul mentioned, I have a perfect solution for those old boards !
