    I'm a new owner of a 1988 Mondi 3.2 Cab and I'm really enjoying.

I do have a question. I believe I have heard that the Brake Calipers and Rotors come from BMW or at lest another manufacture. If any, what is the cross reference part numbers on these items.

Are there any current substitutes? I am just aware of the EBC rotors... D520 and D512.

You can get a set of bigger discs and calipers as a bit under rated, superperformance in uk sell them

I think the question was rather if there are any standard substitutes...

I know, it was an alternative option

I would like to know the cross reference for the brake rotors . The brake calipers are from an 1982 - 89 E24 BMW 635CSI . The front brake calipers of this BMW are used in both the front and rear of the Mondial . Brake pads are the same as well .

Ah, good to know! But rotors are different?

By comparing the measurements of the discs, the BMW rotors dont seem to fit.

A few years ago I helped Martin at Giro Disc to develop a slotted floating rotor that fit the front of 328 and Mondial 3.2 for a client in UK who was racing one at the time. He said he was going to make them available. He provided me with a set for assisting him. Nice pieces.

Mondial 3.2 and 328 rotors are different part numbers but we found the difference was so minimal he split the difference in the depth dimension and can be used on either with slight reshimming of the caliper. Call Martin and ask.

As far as I know the rear discs with 117186 are the same on 328 and Mondial (all that have four valves per cylinder): 280mm by 74mm.
The front discs with 117185 on the Mondial (all qv) seem to be different to the 328 without ABS (125671). But 117185 is the same for QV Mondials and 328 ABS Models >88: 282mm by 56mm.

Early Mondial QV's have the same brakes as mondial 8. With 1 piston on each side of the discs....(so 2 pistons for each caliper).
