I am shopping around for a set of front brake hoses. There is a part number for the Mondial - 118101 that incorporates what appears to be some metal tubing at one end, and another simpler hose 137313 without the tubing (fits a range of Ferrari models).

Anyone know if the simpler hose can be used? Seems to be less pricey with more options…

I bought 118101 from Superformance last year for about $70 each.

Awesome. Did you fit them yourself? Easy job?

Yes. No more difficult than any other car. Replacing rubber brake hoses are at the top of my list when I buy an old car, and mine were original.

Years ago I bought some Goodridge racing lines, turns out they did not have the metal tubing part like the OEM and that bothered me so I did not install them.

Hence, I too would like to know if the full rubber lines are ok to use. They are probably simply much cheaper to make, but that does not mean the factory did what they did for no reason.
