    Howdy

I am having trouble locating the correct Strut to replace my failed Engine Cover Strut

I see that Stabilus makes replacements for the trunk and hood struts, but I dont see one for the engine cover (the one that has a little spring loaded ball in it to hold it open)

    Thanks for any advice

I doubt Stabilus makes that but I may be wrong. It is not gas charged, the ball holds it in place. The ball is pushed in to allow it to go down. Is yours gone, bent, ball doesn't hold it up anymore?

Mine is present but the ball (spring loaded?) does not stick out far enough to engage in the hold thus not locking the strut in place

I used on my 88 for the engine strut, All OEM PArts INC. S2SG437004. These are just pneumatic struts no locks.
