    hello,

do you know if the decals on the hood and doors are removable? been looking for one of these in 1:18 forever, but don't like the look of sponsors on the car.

    thanks.

Nail polish remover would have worked on metal but another F'chatter commented that the doors are made out of plastic, so it may be hard to remove the decals without damaging the plastic doors. I think I will pass until Hotwheels issues their Mondial Elite version, which will come without these decals and should have metal doors (but will also cost three times as much).

Has anyone tried 3M Automotive Adhesive Remover to remove the decals? I wonder if that stuff would work & ot damage the plastic doors. It certainly wouldn't harm the paint as I've used it on real cars with success. It also removes wax from skis with no harm to the plastic (P-Tex) bases.

Thanks for the tip! I bought a yellow one - primarily because I'm going to repaint it Grigio like my Mondial (and probably paint the interior deep red/bordeaux like mine also.)

I would imagine the decals would eventually come off if soaked in water, otherwise Goo Gone or automotive adhesive remover should work. I'll post again when I try and let people know.

I just received mine as well. Look like water transfer decals, so should come off easy. The car is all plastic, so that will make painting a little harder. Looks like I'll have to lay down a light coat of primer to ensure that the paint sticks to the plastic...

Hey Guys, I gently used my fingernail. You could also use automotive wax. The decals flaked off.
    Good Luck.
