Hello, There is an attractivly priced '82 Ferrari Mondial 8 (red/black w/red) @ Cannillos Motorsport on Long Island. Does anyone have any experience with this dealership? Anyone know anything about this Mondial? Kind regards, Joe
Cannillos is not like any other dealer out there, He is very extremely concerned about his reputation, and stands by the cars he sells, This is what I have heard from a reliable sourse.
I bought it from him going on 3 years ago. Micheal is a pretty straight shooter and did put money in the car to resolve items I found in my PPI, so overall I am happy. As with any 23 year old car, especially a Ferrari there were deferred maintenance items for me to deal with. Looks like he took a deposit on this car, you?
That mondi 8 is definitely an attractive price(however not a great car in general), but the value leader on his lot looks like the 308gt4 with an engine rebuild done by Bill Pollard (one of the best f-car techs in the country) less than 10k miles ago, plus clutch , tune up, suspension etc etc . Why this car is still on his lot is a mystery to me. The car has 20k sunk into it in the last 5 years and the car is $21k. That is like paying for all the work done and getting the car for free. If I were you I would be looking at that car.
I've looked, and he's got a deposit on it as we speak. it is an awsome car if the deposit falls thru' it would make a great addition to anyones garage. when my g/f and i were there it was out for a PPI
I too have a 1982 Mondial for sale. It is advertised here in FerrariAds.com, Hemmings, Cars.com & in the FCA newsletter. PM for details.
