Just bought an 82 Mondial, don't know if the clutch is working properly, it engages very quickly i.e. right at the start of depressing the clutch, not sure if this is correct? I am not used to hydraulic clutches. Any advice on how to know where the clutch is supposed to engage?
    Thank you in advance.

According to the workshop manual, you should only have 2 to 3 mm of free play. If you really want to find out exactly how your clutch is disengaging, jack the left rear of the car, remove the left rear wheel and inner fender liner foward piece, support the car on a jack stand for safety, then watch the clutch slave rod and linkage move downward as someone is pushing the clutch in. You should see approx. 2 cm of downward movement total.

Thanks for the advice. If only 2-3 mm, then I should be OK. It seems small, but if those are the specs then I am ok! Thanks again. Any advice on a sunroof that doesn't work? The motor is working but the sunroof is not going back.
    thanks again
