Mondial 8 / QV battery exchange number

Today, I went shopping for a new battery for an '83 Mondial QV. The book calls for a group 34R size battery. Group 34 is no problem but finding reverse poles (R) where the (+) is on the right, proved to be impossible for me today. After a boatload of measurements and specification searches I found that a group 36R will fit the Mondial perfectly. It has about 5% lower cold cranking amps but that's probably within the margin of manufacturing error. Therefore, a group 36R will exchange fine for a group 34R in a Mondial 8 or Mondial QV. YMMV.
