Greetings to everyone! I am a new member on this forum and glad to meet you all! This is my first post and i was wondering how to find some history about my ferrari. The car is an 81-82 thereabouts Mondial 8 (uk spec car)that was purchased by me in 2001. I have always been saving up for a ferrari and decided that i wouldn't buy a car untill i bought ferrari! hence my inexperience when buying it! The gentleman that sold me the car brought it around and took me for my first spin in a ferrari! I was sold right there! I paid market value for a good example but i made the mistake of handing over all of the money before the service history was given over! Then when i tried to contact the previous owner after the sale, he wouldn't return any of my calls! Anyway , this taught me a valuable lesson! All i know about the car is that it was brought to australia from Hong Kong. The car is red/black leather, chassis no *39187 and engine no. F106B00915. It feels kind of awkward to roll in here and ask this type of question straight off but i wasn't sure where to start! We are currently restoring the car and would like to know of its history. This is a genuine enquiry and we would love to hear from anyone that knows something of this car! We can organise a couple of pictures if required! Thank-you to anyone that may read this! best regards [email protected] . ps i hope i'm allowed to post my email address but i could'nt work out the instant message thingo!

Nice looking car! I see that both bumpers and the panels below the door got painted red by a previous owner. I am curious what kind of exhaust system got put on the car as it does not appear to be the original system.

I will try to get some better pictures of the exhaust tomorrow. not sure what make it is .it seems fairly new and sounds great! A lot of work has been done on this car already ,and its only covered maybe 1000km in the past seven years so need to do cambelts etc. we replace as many items as possible before going in for major service soon!

I'm diggin' it. Not sure the lower valance below the doors would look better in black again? Eh, to each his own - either way, it looks nice I like the exhaust. It looks like mine, with the tips coming out pretty far.. I love that look.

I wish I had that euro rear skirt, that goes around the muffler.. that looks so much better than the U.S. version!

Good luck with it - have any interior shots?

Exactly right! this is the same car posted in the Australia section (mondial 8 -missing service history) If my memory serves me correctly, the serial numbers ran from 31075 - 41727 for the mondial 8. Does anyone know how many rhd cars were made? I could find 74 uk rhd cars from production run of 703.

There are 145 UK RHD Mondial 8s. Mondial 8 production ran from 31075 to 41727, as you stated above. The first RHD M8 was probably 33737; the last was probably 41359.

NNO I got the production figures from Ferrari dino 308 & mondial gold portfolio published by brooklands books. this is an english book, so i am guessing they are referring to how many m8's stayed in u.k. this leaves about 70 cars for the rest of the rhd world. Would this be about right? Anyways, cheers for the info!

Probably, but I don't know with any degree of certainty. What are the RHD countries...? Australia, the UK, Hong Kong - anywhere else...?
