    Hi everybody,
Three years ago I bought a gorgeous 1990 Mondial t cabriolet, European (Italian) spec.
The car fitted a Sony CDX-4180RV radio cd player.
I have some questions for someone who knows more than me:

    * ’90 Mondials had a radio factory mounted or it was left to customers to mount an after market radio?
    * If the radio was factory mounted, the Sony CDX-4180RV was the original one?
    * If the Sony CDX-4180RV was not the original one, which radio was originally mounted?
    * Do anyone knows the production period of the Sony CDX-4180RV?

Thank you in advance for your answers. See you.
    Roberto

The radio was typically a dealer installed option. (I don't believe that Ferrari started installing radios at the factory until 1996; but I could be wrong about the exact year.)

Concur with previous post. Interestingly, my Mondial t was fitted with a Sony DAT unit (which may or may not have been original) when I bought it. I pulled that unit in '04 and placed it with another low cost Sony CD MP3 unit thinking the cabling would be consistent. Replaced the speakers in the door as well. Pulling the console was easier than figuring out how to undo the door panels but got the project done in about 4-5 hours. If you want I can dig up photos of my nervous energy project.

Thank you Jayo5, but I prefer completely original Ferraris, even the radio. That's the reason of my post.
    Bye
