    Looking at replacing my convertible top on my 84 Mondial QV. What has been the prices paid to your upholsterer for the job. Prices seem to be all over the board. Anyone tackle the job on your own? difficulty factor? time requirement?

    I took my top and my car to a shop and they are doing it for $450-500. They've never done one before so they are learning on my car. I plan to be there for all of the new top install.

    Thanks for the info. That is about the price I was quoted $450.00. Good idea being on-site during the installation. Where did you order your top from?

    I purchased the top offered on e-Bay (and I think some others on F-Chat did also), which is very similar to OEM. I've been qouted around $500 to have it installed.

    I seem to recall I spent about 800 on the top and $500 for install. But for that price I think I had a new seal installed between windshield and top.

    $600 for the original German canvas from Diamondmall (?) on eBay. Nice top. $800 for installation.

    Bought new OEM top from Eurospares (UK) for approx 1800 euro....Claudio is the bomb....excellent man to deal with...

    had local trim guy install along with new pillars, rubber, latches I had bought previously....

    Fits perfectly....Install was approx 700USD. 1991t

    Did that include the whole frame as well, I did not think the oem canvass alone was available.

    This was for the canvas only. Black outside/beige inside, just my original. Ferrari logo stamp in plastic. No frame/framing. Was new old stock item I believe.

    I still got one NOS black top with frame and latches, they say it was the last one.

    I'm thinking of replacing my hood next Spring and for something so visible and important, I want to fit "the best". But is the difference in costs for a hood reflective of the quality? I see some supportive comments for the Rich & Famous product ($600), so any idea why the GAHH product is very nearly double the price ($1159)?

    Does the Rich & Famous top come with an interior liner similar in quality to OEM?

    Nathan - I'm starting to explore UK fitting options, will keep you posted if I find someone with good experience, a prerequisite for me as I don't really want anyone doing this for the first time on mine.

    I'm waiting for the guy who either paid or got quoted $18K to replace his top and frame to find this thread :)

    Just got the QV Cab. back from the Local upholstery shop here in Jackson MS. (Juan's) He did a great job and knocked it out in 1 day. 450.00 for the install and 525.00 for the top (E-Bay) Very happy with both. Now just need to find two replacement B-Pillar seals.
