had no spark on my mondial qv.did some research here and learned that the tach sensor will cause no spark.had driven the car and noticed it would die occasionally and the tach would go to zero.replaced sensor and now have spark but when i took it around the block it would still die occasionally and tach would go to zero.i have puchased the other two crank sensors, actually they are all the same but i did not take the time to install them yet.i had someone mention battery connections or a possible rubbed wire but have not located that.thanks for any help

Go to your fuse box in the front left and check on the fuel pump fuse. Be sure it isn't melted and/or the socket is melted. Common problem.

Many other things are possible, but electrical is fairly easy to check first.

all fuses seem ok.would the fuel pump fuse cause the tach to drop also?

Are you saying your tach goes to 0 rpm while your engine is still running?

the tach goes to zero and the engine dies as if you turned off the key.it is still turning just not firing.also noticed on a trip for fuel this evening it started and ran poorly as if it was only half, then backfired,i assume because of raw fuel in the exhaust and then ran fine.did not notice tach when this occured.thanks again
