Was backing my ebrake off the lift and using the e-brake. Ebrake popped and went slacked. Put it back on the lift and searched the forum, but am confused. Mine looks to have the later 3.2/Mondial T style, but the guide I am looking at says there should be a hole to loop the tension spring through between the two other cables. Mine does not seem to have such a hole. Apologies for the poor pictures, lift can only get halfway up with a car on it due to ceiling and my back is giving me fits right now.

That seems really, terrible? My feeling right now is that when I ratched the ebrake with tension it slipped off the edge. I feel like drilling a small hole so it looped through would be safer. Would need to prime and paint the hole to deal with rust.

Yes, having no feature at all to retain the spring hook end does seem rather odd -- and I wouldn't penalize you for adding a hole to do that. However, the bracket on the frame in your photo (with the two cables) seems to have more features/things on it than what that Mondial QV SPC figure in my link shows (which looks just completely "plain")? Can you please give your exact year/model/version to ensure that I've got the right SPC figure?

The bracket only has two holes. One for each of the e-brake lines to pass through. At this point I think I am going to drill a hole to retain the spring. OEM or not, this setup is not safe.

That looks reasonable with the notch feature ;)

Interesting, but mine is not like that. Car is on the lift. Couldn't snap a pic because my viper is parked beneath and its rain at the moment. My bracket does not have that hole or the notch that yours does on the underside.
