    Been reading the archives and all suggestions point to an engine removal to get the manifold off. I purchased the air injection plugs and want to be ready to stick them in when they arrive. Can i attempt to remove the manifold with the engine in. Would it make it any easier to remove the firewall heat shield?

    if you do a search on this you'll find that Philipj has removed his with the engine in, it was however by all acounts a complete PTA to do (but not as much as dropping the power train)
