What ever happened to the Mondial fuse box replacement projects that were going on? Just curious if either of our intrepid inventors has had any success in producing a working prototype, and whether production is imminent. I, for one, am hoping we'll have a working replacement soon. Please let us know where you are at with the project and what the prospects are. Thanks.

    Regards,
    Steve

I too am curious about this, though, the lack of replys might indicate that the project has not come too far.

Chinese New Year is over and progress is happening. In a couple of weeks I should be able to post pictures of the new box.

The new 'box' will have the same footprint (size) as the original but more circuits will be available with a new 6-layer PCB. One of the issues that came up was the old and often burnt plugs that many cars have (see below). Additionally as we are going to manufacture in Singapore it is not practical to refurbish fuse boxes from the other side of the planet. So the new box will be a complete stand-alone product.

The box will be fully populated with relays, fuses etc and the car's wiring loom will plug into it with new 'female' plugs (female on the loom means that it is harder to ground the loom accidentally to the chassis). A small amount of simple work will be needed to install the box but it is very straight forward. Complete wiring diagrams and instructions will be provided.
    Price will be sensible.

Don't know if you're still around or not. If so did the Mondial fuse box become a reality? Thanks. Doug.

redbaycars.com, our own Stefan on the Mondi boards here, sells up-dated (vastly improved) fuse boxes fabricated by another member on this board.

Hi Mondialistas, yes I still make those boards for all model mondials, but the list dont stop here : also for 328, F40, 288GTO, 400i, 412, TR, Testarossa, 512TR old board, 512TR new model board, 456, 550. For the moment there is a waitinglist of 11 boards, so you need to be patient. I'm doing all the impossible to produce, testing and sending those boards asap from 16 may on...until then I'm surviving in the tropics...
